By enrolling in, booking, paying for, or participating in any Asana Lab Course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Nature of the Service

1.1 Asana Lab provides structured, time-bound professional training programmes delivered over a fixed period and consisting of a defined number of mandatory sessions.

1.2 Courses are not drop-in classes, casual memberships, or flexible leisure services. They require advance commitment, sustained attendance, and active participation.

1.3 By enrolling, the student acknowledges that they are purchasing access to a professional training programme, not individual sessions.

2. Course Structure, Schedule and Student Responsibility

2.1 Each Course runs from a clearly stated start date to a clearly stated end date, as published at the time of booking.

2.2 The total number of required sessions, training hours, assessments, and coursework are detailed in the Course description and form part of the contract.

2.3 Official Course schedules, session times, locations, requirements, and updates will be communicated via Asana Lab’s official online channels, including (but not limited to):

  • Email communications

  • The Course page

  • The private online members forum

2.4 It is the student’s sole responsibility to remain aware of all Course requirements, schedules, updates, and communications.

2.5 Failure to read, receive, or act on official communications does not excuse non-attendance, lateness, or failure to meet Course requirements.

3. Attendance, Absence and Punctuality

3.1 Attendance at all scheduled sessions is mandatory.

3.2 A maximum of two (2) absences is permitted across the entire Course, regardless of reason.

3.3 Any permitted absence must be made up by attending a replacement session or completing agreed remedial work, on a date and time agreed with the instructor.

3.4 Failure to attend beyond the permitted absences, or failure to complete agreed make-up requirements, will result in non-completion of the Course and no certification.

3.5 Students must arrive on time. If running late, the student must inform Asana Lab before the scheduled start time. Entry to late students is at the instructor’s discretion.

3.6 Repeated lateness may be treated as non-attendance.

4. Behaviour, Conduct and Community Standards

4.1 Asana Lab is a professional training environment. Students must behave respectfully toward instructors, staff, other students, and any guests at all times.

4.2 Behaviour standards apply:

  • In all physical training spaces

  • Before, during, and after sessions

  • During breaks and Course-related events

  • In all online spaces, including the members forum

4.3 The following are grounds for immediate removal from a session or permanent exclusion from the Course, without refund:

  • Harassment, bullying, intimidation, discrimination, or hate speech

  • Aggressive, abusive, threatening, or coercive behaviour

  • Disruptive conduct that interferes with teaching or learning

  • Repeated refusal to follow reasonable instructor instructions

  • Being under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs

  • Any behaviour that presents a safety risk

4.4 Asana Lab reserves the right to refuse entry, remove a student from a session, or terminate enrolment where behaviour is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.

5. Health, Suitability, Safety and Hygiene

5.1 Yoga Teacher Training is physically and mentally demanding. By enrolling, the student confirms the Course is suitable for their health and abilities.

5.2 Students must inform instructors of any injury, pregnancy, medical condition, diagnosis, or limitation that may affect participation or safety.

5.3 Students agree to follow all reasonable safety instructions and modifications provided by instructors.

5.4 If, in the instructor’s reasonable opinion, a student’s participation poses a risk, Asana Lab may restrict or suspend participation in specific activities or sessions. This does not entitle the student to a refund or cancellation.

5.5 Hygiene requirements include:

  • Clean clothing and appropriate personal hygiene

  • Not attending while contagious or experiencing symptoms that pose a risk to others

  • Compliance with venue-specific hygiene and safety rules

5.6 Participation is at the student’s own risk. Students are responsible for working within their personal limits.

6. Completion, Assessment and Certification

6.1 Certification is conditional, not guaranteed.

6.2 To receive certification, students must:

  • Meet attendance requirements

  • Complete all required coursework and assessments

  • Demonstrate competence and professional readiness to the instructors’ satisfaction

6.3 Asana Lab retains sole discretion in determining whether certification requirements have been met.

6.4 Students who do not meet requirements will not graduate or receive certification, regardless of payment status.

7. Payments, Pricing and Monthly Plans

7.1 Prices are stated in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

7.2 Payment options may include:

  • Full payment upfront

  • Early-bird discounted pricing (where offered)

  • Monthly pricing plans

7.3 Early-bird discounts are time-limited, non-transferable, and subject to the same non-refund terms.

7.4 Monthly plans:

  • Begin at the Course start date and continue until the end of the training course.

  • Cannot be paused at any point during the selected course.

7.5 Failure to complete payments may result in removal from the Course and withholding of certification.

8. Refunds and Cancellations by the Student

8.1 All Courses are non-refundable and non-cancellable once booked.

8.2 This applies before and after the Course start date and regardless of attendance, injury, illness, or personal circumstances.

8.3 This does not affect statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where services are not provided with reasonable care and skill.

9. Missed Sessions and Non-Attendance

9.1 Missed sessions are not refundable and do not reduce payment obligations.

9.2 Non-attendance resulting in non-completion does not entitle the student to certification or partial refund.

10. Changes, Cancellations and Rescheduling by Asana Lab

10.1 Asana Lab may make reasonable changes to schedules, instructors, venues, delivery format, or content to ensure Course quality and safety.

10.2 Where sessions are cancelled, Asana Lab will provide rescheduling or reasonable alternatives.

10.3 If a Course is cancelled in full before it begins and no reasonable alternative is offered, fees paid will be refunded.

10.4 If a Course cannot be completed after it begins, a fair proportion of fees relating only to undelivered services may be refunded, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

11. Online Members Forum

11.1 Access to the private members forum is included in Course fees.

11.2 Misuse, harassment, or sharing of confidential materials may result in removal of access without refund.

12.2 Students may not copy, share, record, distribute, sell, or repurpose materials without written permission.

12.3 Recording of sessions is strictly prohibited without explicit written consent.

12.4 Breach of this clause may result in immediate removal from the Course.

13. Personal Belongings and Property

13.1 Personal belongings are brought at the student’s own risk.

13.2 Asana Lab and Sida Yoga accept no responsibility for loss or damage unless caused by negligence.

14. Photography and Media

14.1 Asana Lab may photograph or video record sessions for:

  • Training records

  • Quality assurance

  • Marketing and promotional purposes

14.2 By enrolling, students grant Asana Lab a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use such images or footage in which they may appear, in print and digital media, worldwide.

14.3 Students may opt out of identifiable promotional use by notifying Asana Lab in writing before the Course begins.

14.4 Students may not photograph, film, or record instructors or other students without explicit consent.

15. Limitation of Liability

15.1 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

15.2 Subject to clause 15.1, Asana Lab is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of earnings, loss of opportunity, or failure to achieve certification.

15.3 Total liability shall not exceed the total Course fees paid by the student.
